Located in the southwest corner of Donley County of the Texas Panhandle, Clarendon has a rich history of education. Established in 1878, Clarendon is one of the three oldest communities in the panhandle. Operating since 1898, Clarendon College is the oldest center of higher learning in this part of Texas.

Clarendon is a small district with almost 500 students in grades PK-12. There are three campuses, Clarendon Elementary, Clarendon Junior High, and Clarendon High School.

Offering many programs from pre-kindergarten to Dual Credit classes to CTE classes in Business/Computers, Agriculture, and Family and Consumer Sciences, the school district works hard to meet the needs of their students.

Clarendon ISD believes that technology is an integral part of preparing students for the future. Every student has access to Chromebooks in the elementary classrooms and students in 4^th and 5^th grade have 1:1 Chromebooks that they can take home. Students in grades 6-12 are also provided a MacBook in a 1:1 situation.

To support and encourage their success, Clarendon students compete in UIL academics and sports. While some years are better than others, Clarendon students consistently advance beyond district in academics and sports and many times go on to compete at the state level.

And as students leave the school system, one thing remains true…

“Once a Broncho, always a Bronco.”

• We believe in promoting partnerships that will increase community support and parental participation in promoting the social, emotional, and academic growth of children.

• We believe that communication is a vital part of student success.

• We believe our actions should be visionary and proactive in purpose through personnel, parents, pupils, and programs.

• We believe in managing our resources in a manner that will foster equity, quality, and accountability.
