Sink or Float
Evidence: As a small group, the children were presented with the question of what sink and float means. What qualities or properties caused several items to sink or float? They had to hypothesize as a group whether they thought certain items would sink or float. They then performed the experiment with their items. They then graphed those things which sank or floated. Following the experiment, they revisited properties which caused things to sink or float. To finalize the collaborative work, the children each drew their own representation of sink/float, along with the letter Pp we were learning that week.
